Artists Studio Tour
This event takes place three times a year. Artists display their talents on Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, Labor Day weekend, and the first weekend in December. Maps are available at the Islander store.

Judy Arnsten
One of a kind handmade all kelp baskets suitable for decoration or practical use. Judy’s work and many others can be seen at Lummi Island Gallery on Legoe Bay Road.

Specializing in pottery with marine, wildlife, and plant motifs. Each piece is individually handcrafted. The pieces range from cups and large and small vases to beautifully crafted customized bathroom sinks. The gallery also features the works of Basil Atkinson’s unique creations of sandblasted rock, stone, metal sculptures, and more. The gallery is open year-round by chance or appointment.

As a Naturalist and Professional Photographer working on Lummi Island, here are areas Sharon can cover while leading island hikes:
- Beach walks including the natural history of the shoreline environment, including marine and plant life from salmon to whales and everything in between
- Mountain hikes including hikes to the Baker ranch area and beyond
- Forest hikes in the Otto preserve
My primary focus is botany and ethnobotany. I am well versed in the geology of the area and its impact on this island environment called the San Juan Archipelago.
